Gear selection / One-on-one
The right skis.
The right boots.
Skis and boots are a big buy you make once every few years, and you can’t return them once they’ve seen snow. Tell us how and where you ski, and we’ll use what we know to help you choose skis, bindings, boots, or a whole setup that suits the skier you are, and the one you’re becoming.
Booking now for the 2026–27 seasonHow it works
A short conversation.
Then we do the work.
Every skier is different, so this bends to fit you. You keep the decision. We do the narrowing down, and as much of the hunting as you want.
Tell us about you.
Send a request: a line about what you’re after, or the full details if you have them. We confirm the package and price before anything starts.
We talk it through.
A call or video chat about how you like to ski, what bugs you about your current setup, and what you want next season to feel like.
You get a shortlist.
Specific models and sizes, why each fits, and what to demo first, including last season’s versions. We help you weigh it until one feels right.
We help you buy it.
We find the deals and send the exact links, or the shop that has your size. Going used? We’ll vet listings with you, by phone or video, or meet you in person around Seattle.
Fit first.
Then everything else.
How we think about it
Boots come first.
They’re the part you feel all day. We narrow down shape, volume, and flex, and send you to a good bootfitter for the shell fit. Nobody can fit a boot over email, and we won’t pretend to.
Your usual day, and then some.
Most of us ski firm groomers and chopped-up snow more than powder. We pick for how you actually ski, with enough range for the icy morning, the storm day, and wherever your skiing goes next.
Spend where it counts.
Last season’s model, a demo sale, or a good used pair is often the smarter buy. We’ll say so when it is. Read the boot guide to get a head start.

Three or more, like a whole family or a group of friends? We do that too; ask us and we’ll price it for your group. Meeting in person around Seattle costs a little more. Not sure which package fits? Send a request anyway and we’ll suggest one before anything is agreed.
Before you ask
Gear selection
details.
Do you sell the gear?
No, but we help you buy it: new or used, online or at a local shop, wherever the right deal is. The shortlist is yours to take anywhere. We can also help you sell your old gear.
Is this only for strong skiers?
Not at all. Newer skiers often get the most out of it, because the wrong first boot or ski can hold you back for years.
Can you fit my boots?
Not remotely. We help you arrive at the shop knowing which shapes and models to try and what to ask for, then a bootfitter handles the shell check, heat molding, and any adjustments.
How do I pay?
We confirm the package, price, and how to pay by email before any work starts. Nothing is charged until you agree.
Can my family or a group book together?
Yes. The two-person prices cover a pair, like a couple, friends, or a parent and teen. For three or more, from mom, dad, and the kids to a whole crew, ask us and we’ll price it for your group. Each person gets their own recommendations.
